Trove Player is a native local music player for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. It plays audio files you own — including FLAC, ALAC, APE and DSD — from your device, or streamed from a WebDAV or SMB server such as a NAS, with gapless playback, a 10-band equalizer and word-by-word synced lyrics.
Trove Player is free to download and free to keep using. Two optional one-time purchases unlock more: Trove Pro at $9.99 and Trove Pro Supporter at $24.99, which adds alternate app icons and theme colors on top of Pro. Both are paid once — there is no subscription, no recurring fee and no trial timer. (US App Store prices; regional prices vary.)
Trove Player runs natively on iOS 17 or later, covering iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. A Mac app is in development; it is not on the App Store yet, so today Trove is an iOS-family player.
Not yet. The Mac app is being built with the same SwiftUI codebase, but it has not shipped to the App Store, and we would rather say so plainly than let you download something that does not exist. Join the mailing list on this site and we will tell you when it lands.

Yes. Trove connects directly to WebDAV and SMB shares, so you can browse and play a library stored on a Synology or other NAS, a home server, or any WebDAV-compatible storage — without uploading your collection to a third-party cloud.
Yes. Send songs from your library to the Apple Watch app over Apple's device-to-device connection, then play them with the phone left behind — useful for running and the gym. The transfer never goes through the internet or our servers.
Those are macOS desktop players, and Trove is not a Mac app yet — so today they solve different problems. What Trove already does is the part they never covered: a native iOS player that streams the same NAS library over WebDAV or SMB, with synced lyrics and a 10-band EQ, so your collection follows you off the desk.
